Do you know that Sigmund Freud today is pretty much considered a charlatan, a fiction writer, where his famous id-ego-superego is best left to the hucksters and party jokesters (nothing beats a funny Freudian slip). But what about all the writers who built fiction around the Great One, like Joyce, Kafka, Woolf, etc, etc? What about surrealism, and therapy, and the very nature of psychiatry (no wonder it’s become a drug dispensing profession)?
