White Guilt effect

This is an excellent eye-opening book by Shelby Steele, an African-American intellectual who is not constrained by typical political correctness. The book is “White Guilt: How Blacks and Whites Together Destroyed the Promise of the Civil Rights Era,” published in 2009 and it gets more relevant as the years tick by. It’s available as an ebook or paperback.

Note: Here’s another good gutsy eye-opening very short book (only about 24 pages–but pithy) from someone I don’t necessarily always agree with (former leftist David Horowitz and now editor of the online conservative Front Page Mag),”Black Privilege and the American Dream.” It’s available as a $.99 Kindle download on Amazon).
