Hoodies and public perception

Posted: July 19, 2013 in Crime, Human Nature

Ever wonder why so many people have a bad impression of the hoodie look; wonder why Zimmerman might have panicked? Wonder why Martin Luther King’s neice said “Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. would very likely not wear a hoodie…I can assure you he would not wear sagging pants.” Read about what happened to Breanna Machus and Joseph Orlando. Would I be wary of someone, especially a young black guy, approaching me wearing a hoodie especially on a hot day in summer? Absolutely. By the way, if I were living in Merry Ol’ England I’d have the same fear of those young hooded white punks known as yobs, who make up what’s described as the underclass knife culture.
