Cops say that because a group of 30 to 40 African American males were roaming the Des Moines fairgrounds deliberately targeting whites for ‘beat whitey night’ this could be construed, in some minds, as something possibly–just possibly mind you– racially motivated. Here.
You won’t read much of this anywhere in the national so-called mainstream press and blogs but you can imagine how it would be reported if the story involved the reverse: if thirty or forty white thug racists had a “beat blackie night.”

Thus spake Zarathustra Jimmy Carter: “I think an overwhelming portion of the intensely demonstrated animosity toward President Barack Obama is based on the fact that he is a black man, that he’s African-American…” yada yada yada…the drone of the Liberal elite. It seems anyone who disagrees with Obama is a racist. Evidently just looking at the president the “wrong way” can produce accusations of racist thought. Liberals will point out the deeper meaning behind an otherwise innocent turn of phrase. Thus when Senator Wilson shouted out that Obama was a liar he is now being locked in with the racist label. What Wilson did was ill-mannered at worst. Was there racism behind his outburst? Who knows. I do know this though– these Libs cannot read minds; they do not know what someone is thinking when it comes to race. But I think we know what’s really behind such accusations. Self-righteous Liberals, especially the kind represented by the finger-pointing former President, are merely trying to cover up their own racist views (now I’m going to read minds). By flinging out the racist epitaph at every turn, at every phrase and word, they ease their own racist conscience. And where does that racist conscience reside? Deep…deep down there in the R-complex. Maybe even a couple of levels above that. They have to struggle everyday to keep it in its hidden place. Every time a racist thought bubbles up like yellow pus in their grey matter they must accuse someone else of racism. Not only are race-bating Libs keeping society from looking beyond race, they are defiling language. See War of Words

Strange (or maybe not) there was no mention of the fact that his assailants were black; you can just imagine how this would be played up if the victim’s race were reversed.
Another “local case” only
One more example from thousands of such underreported “local” cases: Local Buffalo, N.Y. story.
Here’s an update on a heinous crime story that I posted on a couple of months ago. It’s a racial crime that has gone virtually unreported in the corporate news because the two victims, a young couple, were white and the torturers/murderers black.
“… Out of nowhere, the six were attacked by dozens of teenage boys, who shouted ”This is our world” and ”This is a black world” as they confronted Marshall and his family.The Marshalls, who are white, say the crowd of teens who attacked them and two friends June 27 on Girard Street numbered close to 50. The teens were all black… ”This was almost like being a terrorist act,” Marshall said. ”And we allow this to go on in our neighborhoods?’ They said it started when one teen, without any words or warning, blindsided and assaulted Marshall’s friend as he stood outside with the others. When Marshall, 39, jumped in, he found himself being attacked by the growing group of teens. His daughter, Rachel, 15, who weighs about 90 pounds, tried to come to his rescue. The teens pushed her to the ground.” Read story here.
Note: this story has gotten little play in the major news (if any). You can imagine how different that situation would be if the assailants had been white (check here).
