I watched a couple of amazing videos of preacher Benny Hinn laying hands on the sick, of actually healing with those hands! These redemptive episodes of faith make great drama. In particular I was brought to near tears by a man who couldn’t walk and who was confined to a wheelchair and came up to Benny, or rather was wheeled up, and asked to be healed. “I want to walk again, Benny.” The man looked up at Benny. Benny looked down at the man. The man wore a loving beatific smile. Benny stretched his arms out, then LAID HANDS ON HIM–HEAL HEALLL HEEEAAAL. It was amazing, the intensity, the drive, the pure religiosity in how he placed his hands upon the cripples’ head and CURED HIM! The man fell out of his wheelchair onto the floor and then STOOD. Sweet Jesus. Now what I’m wondering is, considering the electrifying power of his healing hands, and certainly not to be disrespectful of the true believer, what would happen if Benny mistakenly said HEAAAAL and LAID HANDS on a person who wasn’t crippled, who was in fact as healthy as Benny. Would that person then fall to the floor and turn into a cripple, suddenly unable to walk? Remember the old saying–opposites attract. Well, in this case it would be opposite spiritual fields, behaving sort of like black holes gone awry….anyway just keep in mind that if you ever plan to attend a Benny Hinn healing Bless-along Chautauqua, at least consider the possibility that being in the wrong place at the wrong time could prove personally calamitous.
